The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mario DeCapua can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My condolences on the passing of Mr. DeCapua: he was more than a fine musician; he was a teacher. While my many hours trying to learn to play the trumpet were only marginally successful, Mr. DeCapua gave me a love and appreciation for fine music that I thank him for every day. His patience and dedication to young scholars of music made him a most special man. One of the highlights of my childhood was being selected to blow Taps for the veterans at Bel-Air Manor on Memorial Day, 1963. Thank you for the Music...the band plays on.
