Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Samuel Sohn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Samuel R. "Sam" Sohn

Samuel “Sam” R. Sohn, 42, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Nancy Wallace- Sohn, died Sunday, March 9, 2014. Born in Hartford, he had lived in West Hartford all his life. Sam was employed by the City of New Britain and a member of the AFSCME local #1186. In addition to his wife, Sam survived by his 4 cherished children: Gabriella, Brayden, and twins Cecilia and Emerson. He is also survived by his loving family; his mother-in-law Barbara Wallace of West Hartford and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Kevin Reen of Swampscott, MA, Michael and Caryn Wallace of Bloomfield and Richard Wallace of West Hartford along with nieces Ashley, Cheyenne and Blake Wallace and nephews Jack and Seamus Reen. Sam also leaves his parents and a brother, all of South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14 at 10:00 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Please meet directly at the Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday, March 13, from 5-8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
