Obituary for Joseph M. Lynch

Joseph M. Lynch, 87, of West Hartford CT. beloved husband of Dolores (Cariglio) Lynch, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at UCONN Health Center, Farmington.
He was born May 9, 1927 in Hartford, CT., son of the late Joseph M. and Agnes (Manning) Lynch. He graduated from Bulkeley High School, class of 1944 and attended Trinity College. He served in the US Army during WWII from 1944-1947. Joe retired from the Travelers Insurance Company in 1984 where he was a Commercial Lines Underwriter in Special Accounts Marketing. After his retirement he worked for the Connecticut Section of the PGA. Joe was an avid golfer who played at Rockledge G.C. Heenjoyed opera, cheering on the Yankees and spending time with family and friends.He was a faithful communicant of St. Brigid Church in West Hartford.
Joe leaves his loving wife Dolores (Cariglio) Lynch of West Hartford, and many nieces, nephews and godchildren, who will miss Uncle Joey. Joseph was predeceased by his brothers, Donald, Roger and Thomas Lynch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 29,2014, 10am at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, CT. Visitation will be at The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave.,West Hartford, CT., Saturday, prior to the funeral, from 8:30am-9:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association CT., www.alz.org/ct, or the American Cancer Society, ww.cancer.org.
