Obituary for Carmen M. Mattera

Carmen M. Mattera
Carmen M. Mattera of Simsbury, formerly of Windsor, beloved wife of Anthony J. Mattera, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Carmen was born on February 24, 1933 and had lived in Windsor and Simsbury. She is survived by her loving children, a son Paul Mattera and his wife, Eileen, four daughters, Annette DiClemente and her husband John, Susan Fendrick and her husband Chris, Donna Mattera, Dee Olihan and her husband Mike; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and her special adopted son and his wife, Hema and Paula DeSilva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, (May 5,) 10:00 am at St Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury. Entombment will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carmen's memory may be made to University High School of Science and Engineering, (UHSSE), c/o Chairman Tracy Vontell, 375 West Washington St., Bristol.
