Obituary for Wanda Denton

Wanda Denton
Wanda (Wojdyl) Denton, 91, of West Hartford, passed peacefully on October 5, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. She found happiness in being a devoted and loving mother to Dianne Mancini and her husband George, Linda Denton, and Laurie Marotta and her husband Joseph. She also found happiness with her grandsons, Seth Mancini and his wife Sally, Matthew Mancini and his wife Emily, and her five great-grandchildren, Cate, Will, Avery, Evy and Elsie. She is also survived by a sister, Jane Piotrowski. Wanda was a gift to all who knew her. She was an avid reader, seamstress, gardener, and an English grammar perfectionist, whose graceful way of correcting our mistakes made us love her even more. Her greatest gift of all was helping others unconditionally. Services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1261 South Main Street, Plantsville, CT 06479. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
To my beautiful mother.... At first I thought what am I going to do without you. Then I saw
your sign and it healed me because I know now that we will never ever be apart. I could
never in a million years give back to you what you gave to me and everyone who has had the
pleasure of knowing you. But I will keep trying for eternity in a way that I hope will make
you proud because I know that in me you will continue to live. More than anything, Mom,
I hope you are having the time of your life in paradise. God knows you deserve the best of
everything; it's time for you. To my beautiful mother... I love you more than words can say.
"Love, Laurie"
