Obituary for Walter F. Milewski

Walter F. Milewski, 85 years old passed on to life eternal in Rocky Hill CT on Thursday ,August 16, 2012. According to his mom it was a beautiful sunny day at noon, September 16, 1926 when he was born on a farm in Gill, MA to parents Paul and Josephine (Kozik) (Skrzypek) Milewski. At age 2, his family moved to Turners Falls (the “Capital of Massachusetts”) where he resided until 1956. In 1949 he married his love, Corrine S. Golosh in Sacred Heart Church in Greenfield. Two sons, Walter Jr. and Stephen were born and they moved to Agawam, MA where they resided for 54 years. He was retired from Stanadyne. In 2010, they moved to Rocky Hill, CT. Walt loved his family, friends, neighbors, the Red Sox, Celtics, Notre Dame, and the Patriots. He liked most people and believed they all had beautiful souls. He was the fourth youngest of thirteen children, seven girls and six boys. He leaves his wife Corrine, sons Walter Jr. and his wife Karol of Enfield, CT and Stephen and his wife Cathy of Newington, two granddaughters Nikki and Amy, a brother Michael and his wife Helen of Greenfield, MA, a sister Sophie and her husband Eddie Wasilewski of Hawthorne, NY, sisters-in-law Beverly Milewski of Turners Falls and Stella Skrzypek of Arlington, VA, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Viola (Joseph) Dziekonski, Stella (Julian) Margola, Jennie (Kenneth) Moltenbrey, Josephine Milewski, Stephie (Leon) Wondoloski, Alice (John) Mileszko and brothers Joseph Skrzypek, John Skrzypek, Stanley Milewski and Edward Milewski. The family would like to thank all doctors, nurses, and aides that provided excellent care at UConn Health Center, Jefferson House, Connecticut Hospice Home Care and private practices. Friends may call at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, MA 01376 on Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Turners Falls.
