Thomas L. White, 89, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Avery Heights. Born May 8,1925 in Cromwell, he was son to the late William Henry and Regina (Caissie) White, and was a lifelong resident of the Hartford area, graduating from Bulkeley High School in 1943. He served the U.S. Navy Dept. in Hawaii during WWII from 1944 to 1946. He retired in 1986 from the U.S. Postal Service in Hartford after 28 years. Thomas is predeceased by his two brothers, Raymond and William White of Calif., and sister Ruth Bucello of West Hartford. He is survived by his sister Regina Barall (husband, Herb) of East Hartford, and his brother, Arthur White of Calif., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral procession will be held on Friday, Jan. 2 at 10:30 am from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. He will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Calling hours will be prior to the procession from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
