Condolence:
Such a shock to read of Rob’s passing! My sisters and I, who grew up a few doors down on Sidney Avenue, always enjoyed talking to him and his dad when we happened to meet them in the neighborhood, and we remember his kindness a few years ago in giving our elderly dad a bicycle to get some exercise. My sisters still live on Sidney Avenue, which will not be the same without Rob’s friendliness. We will miss him.

Condolence: I first met Rob when we were in 4th grade at Charter Oak School. I spent time in his home before and after school " racing " his model cars in his basement. I recall his band playing at the old Terra Mar in Old Saybrook when they were still young kids. I saw Rob on Sidney Avenue a few years ago after not having seen him for about 40 years, and we had a great conversation. Condolences to his family, and may he rest in peace.

Condolence: To the family and friends of Rob our prayers are with you. It doesn't seem all that long ago that all the kids in the neighborhood (I think I can still remember everybody by name and house) would be at Sterling Field or Charter Oak for a pick-up game of something. It was the era that you would only go home when the streetlights came on. We will miss you.

Condolence: Bob Slusarz was the very talented lead guitarist of the 1960's band The Wanderers. I had the privilege of being the band's first personal manager. From local dances at the West Hartford YMCA and the old Hall High School to club and college gigs throughout the Northeast, Bob and The Wanderers created a legacy of great memories by entertaining tens of thousands of teens during a tumultuous decade. Those of us still in show business know that Bob is not gone, he has just moved on to play another venue. His music and memories live on!

Condolence: It is so hard dealing with another classmate leaving us. Rob was a wonderful person and he will be missed, Bob lived down the street from where I lived in West Hartford. I loved their band and the "Wanderers" album. He always had a kind word and a smile for me. Maryann Philips and myself would follow where ever his band was playing. When myspace first came out, I wrote to him and he seemed really happy to hear from people and the other people that wrote to him. It saddens my heart that he is no longer with us. May God bless him and keep him in his care. Rest in piece Bob - you will always in my prayers and a piece of my heart will always be with you.

Condolence: When I heard of Bob's passing I was provoked to reflection and wrote the following poem.
Memories and time
Who we forget, not on purpose, you look them up in the book
Who we remember, for some reason, you don’t need the book
Some people hold onto us
We look forward to seeing them once again, maybe at the reunion you don’t attend
Time still comes and goes, as it will
Our memories are constant
A friend of Bob's from his youth.
May Bob rest in peace.
