Ramon Martinez
Ramon Martinez, 82, of West Hartford, formerly of Hartford, passed away, Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Hartford for many years. Prior to his retirement, Ramon was employed by the Hartford Board of Education at Weaver High School for over 30 years. He is survived by his five sons, Antonio, Ramon, William, Jimmie and Hector Martinez; a daughter Wilda Martinez and was predeceased by a son, Miguel and a daughter, Jeannette. Ramon also leaves his loving wife, Panchita and her children; Nellie, William, Miriam, Jimmy, Marilyn, Lissette and was predeceased by Gilbert. He also is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday (Jan 31), from 5 to 8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (Feb 1) at 10:00 am in St. Michael Church, 7 Clark St., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St, Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
