Philip  N.  Cohun
Philip N. Cohun, 85, of West Hartford, husband of the late Elena G. (Giarratano) Cohun, died in his sleep on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at The Hebrew Health Care. He graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1948. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation for 33 years. Philip leaves his three children, Tammy Cohun, Karen Cohun and Michael Francouer, Stephen Cohun and his wife Kathleen; his five cherished grandchildren, Michael Passamano, Megan and Madeline Allen and Joshua and James Cohun. He leaves his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Pearl Giarratano, Gloria and Joe Irena and Margarita Atwood. He was predeceased by his brothers, Cyril and his wife Marion, Victor and his wife Bettena, his sisters, Jean Haber and Vera Cultrera. and his brothers–in-law and sisters-in-law, Nino Giarratano, Nella and Michael D’Onofrio, Josephine and Anthony Miele, Sarino Giarratano and Elsie and Joe Boucher. Calling hours are Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, South Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Everyone is asked to go directly to the Church.
