Condolence: I worked with Peter for more than 28 years, and found him to be one of the most decent people I have known: incredibly smart, incredibly funny, and thoroughly humane. A truly great loss for all of us who worked with him. For many years now I have worked in an office next door to his, and I already miss him terribly, such a pleasant person to see every morning, and such a terribly capable and easy-to-work-with individual. I'm so sorry for all of you in his family for your loss; please know that it was abundantly clear how very much he loved you all. My prayers are with you.

Condolence: To Peter's family - I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Peter for over 30 years and he was a good man. He was honest and decent and always the 1st to offer a helping hand - or a cash donation - when someone was in need. He had a great sense of humor. I will miss him!

Condolence: I will truly miss Peter. I worked with him for over 30 years and we shared many of life's momentous experiences including the loss of our mothers and the birtsh of our son(s). Peter was intelligent and I loved talking politics with him or sports or TV! He recently told me how I could watch some 1960's television show I was reminiscing about (Rawhide!). Anyone who knows Peter knows he had his "theories" about things and almost never bought the company line!
Peter was kind and generous and good humored and skeptical and unique! And he was the 1st to ask how he could help when someone needed a hand. I have worked in the office next to his for these past 25 years, having moved up with him from our Hamden office. I will never get used to not seeing him there. We go on because that's what we do, but I will never not miss you Peter Mez! Indeed!
