Nellie K.  Clermont (Wojceshonek)
Nellie Katherine (Wojceshonek) Clermont, 90, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (June 6, 2012) surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 21, 1922 in Claremont, NH and was the daughter of the late Julian and Stephania (Krasowski) Wojceshonek. A 1940 graduate of Steven’s High School in Claremont, Nellie was also the Captain of the Girl’s Varsity Basketball Team and recipient of the 1940 All State Center Award. Nellie was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Edgar Wilfred Clermont. Together they lived in West Hartford where they raised their five daughters. Nellie was employed by Colt Manufacturing and the Royal Typewriter Co. She was also a bookkeeper for her husband’s business. Nellie was a kind hearted woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She surrounded herself with her five daughters and their families, enjoying Hampton Beach and the simple things in life. Nellie leaves behind her beloved five daughters and sons-in-law; Joann and Frank Martorelli of Newington, Lori Scribner of West Hartford, Loretta and Peter Martin of Farmington, Cindy and David Rosenbluth of West Hartford and Carol Clermont and her husband Christopher Chapell. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson, all of whom she adored; Mary DiCamillo and Matthew Martorelli, Sara Scribner, Ryan and Sean Martin, David, Darryl, Zachary and Justin Rosenbluth, Christopher and Nella Chapell and great-grandson Aidan DiCamillo. She also leaves her remaining sister, Jane Duncan of Boston, MA. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. Funeral procession will be Monday, (June 11,) 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends and family are welcome to calling hours on Sunday, (June 10) from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. The family of Nellie Clermont would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Staff of Hughes Health and Rehabilitation, St. Francis Hospital, and Masonicare Hospice for their outstanding care of their mother.
