Obituary for Marshall J. "Bud" Pillion

Marshall J. "Bud"  Pillion
Marshall J. "Bud" Pillion, Jr., 92, of West Hartford, died early Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born August 4, 1923 in Hartford, to the late Marshall and Stella (Moskey) Pillion. He grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1942. Marshall enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1942 and received an honorable discharge in 1945. Marshall worked for the A&P Grocery stores, where he was employed for 31 years. He then went to work at the West Hartford Public Schools, and retired from the Duffy Elementary School after 12 years of service.
Surviving are his children, son, Mike Pillion and his wife Tricia of Marlton, NJ, daughter, Patti Pelletier and her husband Gerry of South Windsor, daughter, Kathleen McMichael and her husband, Justin of Newport News, VA; six grandchildren, Kathryn and Kyle Pillion, Lauren and Matthew Pelletier, and Jimmy and Becky McMichael. He is also survived by a sister, Frances Fulton of Mount Pleasant, SC. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice N. Pillion and a brother, Robert Pillion of East Hartford. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 pm on Friday,( Sept. 11) at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Funeral procession will be Saturday, (Sept 12), 9:00 am form the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian, 10:00 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Interment with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Brigid Memorial Fund, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, CT 06110.
