The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marilyn Grenier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Marilyn (Collar, Lamb) Grenier, 79 of Newington Ct. daughter of Everett and Thelma Collar, a beloved mother and grandmother, born on September 15, 1934 passed on, surrounded by her loving family. She had a long battle with cancer and faced it with bravery and conviction, but lost her battle on April 5, 2014. She will be missed dearly by her children Deborah Foley and husband Henry of Suffield, David Lamb and his wife Sharon of West Hartford, Brian Lamb of Newington. She leaves six grandchildren to mourn her passing, Tina, Shawn, Lisa, Kacie, Alexis & Marissa, five great grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Alyssa, Tyler & Mason, also many nieces and nephews. She was employed at Pratt & Whitney for many years up until her retirement. After her retirement she returned to work with her son David at Northeastern Chimney. She enjoyed many fun times with friends at the VFW in West Hartford. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald, her sister Joan Kelly, brother’s Everett and Walter Collar. May god hold you in the palm of his hand until we are united again, our love goes with you.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. The Funeral will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend David E. Congdon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Harry Grey Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital.
