Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Sebastiao can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Maria Sebastiao
Maria Oliveira Sebastiao, 86, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Joao A. Sebastiao, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Sebastiao de Oliveira and Piedade dos Santos Oliveira, she was raised in Foz do Arelho, Portugal and had lived in Hartford for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Maria is survived by her sons, Luiz Sebastiao, Joao Sebastiao, Jose Sebastiao and his wife Sue,Antonio Sebastiao and his wife Natalia and David Sebastiao and his wife Pamela.six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two nieces. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Jorge Sebastiao; two daughters-in-law, Melissa Sebastiao and Beverly Sebastiao; a sister Lena Oliveira and a brother Joaquim Oliveira. The family would like to give a special thanks to Patty and the staff at Park Place Healthcare and also, Eileen from Masonicare Hospice. Funeral procession will be Monday, (August 24), 10:30 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be prior to the funeral procession beginning at 8:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., Hartford, CT 06106. A Seven Day Mass will be Thursday,(August 27) 7:00 pm at the Church.
