Maria Emilia Ferreira Saraiva, beloved wife of 56 years to Joaquim Saraiva, died August 23, 2016 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canedo do Mato Manugalde, Portugal. Besides her husband, Maria is survived by a son Tony Montana, three daughters, Maria da Conceicao Saraiva, Maria Augusta Saraiva and Gloria Maria Saraiva. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Idalia Cameron, Rocky Saraiva, Norberto Ruiz, Emily Saraiva, Melissa and Danielle Gagne, Christina Saraiva and 17 great-grandchildren. Maria leaves a brother Joao Ferreira and was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Jose Ferreira, Mario Ferreira and Ismenia Ferreira.
Funeral procession will be Friday August 26 at 12:15 pm from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
