Ludovico "Luigi" Porretta
Ludovico "Luigi" Porretta, 91, of West Hartford, beloved husband of 64 years to Fiorinda (DiCocco) Porretta; devoted grandfather to Leonard Cappuccitti of West Hartford and Anthony Cappuccitti and his wife, Maria of West Hartford and father to the late Delphine Cappuccitti, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at home. Born in Sora Frosinone, Italy, he came to Hartford in 1951 and had lived in West Hartford since 1954. Luigi was employed at the Royal Typewriter Co. and had retired from Cushman Industries, Hartford. He was a faithful communicant of St. Brigid Church, West Hartford.
Funeral procession will be Friday, (March 11), 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday, (March 10), from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
