Obituary for Kathleen J. Murphy

Kathleen J. Murphy of Southington/Plantsville, died on April 20, 2014. She was born on May 30, 1941 to Paul & Mary (Maloy) Murphy, grew up in West Hartford, graduated from Hall HS and St. Joseph’s College. She taught English at Kennedy Jr. HS and Southington HS, retired after 34 years and became a volunteer at Southington Hospital. Survivors include her brother Brian and his wife Donna of Brewster, MA; nephew Deron, his wife Xenia and great niece Sophie; nephew Brendan and niece Megan. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 11AM, Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield (from Cottage Grove Rd., enter into cemetery, straight to Sec. J). Donations in her memory may be made to CT Children’s Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
