Obituary for Joseph R. Parent
Joseph R. Parent, 92, of West Hartford, CT passed away on March 10, 2015
after a short illness. He was a long time resident of West Hartford and in fact, was born in his family's home on Prospect Avenue. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Parent Arbo and by nieces and nephews: Brian Pulito (Margaret), Elaine Pulito LaMothe (Edward), Susan Arbo Givens (Bill), Sharon Arbo, Mark Arbo(Julie) and Nancy Arbo as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Yvonne Parent Pulito. He was employed by Royal Typewriter for 30 plus years before retiring. He was a generous and social person who enjoyed painting, bingo, and gardening. Our family wants to thank the staff at Saint Mary Home and also the Emergency Department staff, the Surgeons, and the SICU staff of Saint Francis Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to "Uncle Joe". He will be missed. Funeral Service will be Thursday, March, 19, 10:30 am at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
