John W. Wisniewski, born on Sept. 5, 1944, died Aug. 31, 2013, was the son of John A. and Phyllis L. Wisniewski (both deceased), and leaves a brother Robert, a nephew Christopher, and many loving cousins.
John graduated from Georgetown University and served three tours of duty during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. He was a member of The Ravens.
John lived and worked in Thailand, and flew commercially with The Bank of Saudi Arabia and with Minebea of Japan, among others. While in Japan John became gravely ill but survived and was able to return to the United States with the help of Minebea. Thank you.
John was present with his father and helped him through the difficulties of later life to his father’s passing.
Along with family, friends Richie, Cindy and Jill have been present with John through his difficulties in later life and ask for the benefit of the Peace That Passes All Understanding for him. Thank you. Funeral procession will be Thursday, (Sept. 5,) at 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial with military honors will be St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be Wednesday, (Sept 4) from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
