Obituary for John Krawshuk

John Krawshuk, 85, of West Hartford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 9, 2015. John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born in Windsor, on April 7,1929, the son of the late Truffim and Katherine Krawshuk. John was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Martha (Quagliano) Krawshuk, who died from ALS in 2012. He also leaves his three adoring sons, John, Martin and Michael, and daughter-in-law Kimberly. Michael and his wife Kimberly have two children, Ashley and Nate, who were the light of John’s life and his greatest joy. John was also predeceased by his two brothers and two sisters. Prior to retirement in 1997, John worked for the Department of Corrections and was a devoted member of St. Timothy’s Parish, West Hartford for over 50 years. Funeral procession will be Friday, (March 13), 11:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, followed by a 12:00 noon, Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday, (March12) from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
