Jeanne (Michaud) Morin, 97, widow of Clifford J. Morin, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Hughes Health and Rehab Center in West Hartford, CT. She was born on October 12, 1915, in St. Leonard, N.B. Canada, daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Michaud.
Jeanne was predeceased by a grandson Mark Morin, and two daughter in-law’s Joan and Terri Morin.
She is survived by her three children Bertrand Morin of Live Oak, FL; Clifton (Gene) Morin of West Hartford, CT; and Sharon and her husband Albert Dufour Jr. of Manchester, CT.
Jeanne is also survived by her four sisters; Claire Dubay of Van Buren, ME; Edmay Tardif and her husband Jerry of Hartford, CT; Edna Levesque and her husband Enoil of Wethersfield, CT and Patricia McGillian of Fredericton, N.B Canada and one brother Lucien Michaud of St. Leonard, N.B. Canada.
Jeanne has nine grandchildren Erik, Clifton (Gene) Jr., Lynley, Albert III, Christopher, Natalie, Brian, Clifford, and Kate. Seven great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne, was a devoted mother and “Grammy”. She loved traveling, cooking, shopping, listening to her French-Canadian Music, and decorating her home for the holidays. She will be missed by many.
The family extends its special thanks to Hughes Health and Rehab Staff for their gentle loving care, and a special thanks to Jeanne’s aide Nanny Nelson.
Funeral procession will be Friday 26, 2012 at 9AM from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home 1084 New Britain Ave. W. Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Mark the Evangelist 467 So. Quaker Lane W. Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, W. Hartford. Calling Hours will be at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 25, from 6-8 PM.
