Obituary for Jean L.(Iacino) Biondo

Jean L.(Iacino)  Biondo
Jean (Iacino) Biondo of Plainville, formerly of New Britain passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012. Born in New York City, March 7, 1926 to Joseph and Frances Iacino, Jean is predeceased by her husband, Victor J. Biondo. Jean grew up in New York City,
then moved with her family to New Britain. She met and married a fellow New
Yorker, "Vic" Biondo. They raised three children and for over 50 years they were
soul mates. To all who knew her, they will remember her caring, giving and making sure those she loved were happy and content. She also found the time to create fabulous works of art, both in oil and watercolor, knitting, crocheting, upholstery and sewing. Her knitted blankets, baby clothing, sweaters, Halloween
costumes and countless paintings that provide precious memories of her life.
Jean was also a savvy business woman who ran her own varityping business in the
1960's and she went on to help run a clothing business, Little Darlings, that
grew to three retail locations.
Jean is survived by three children, Joy Brousseau and her husband Ronald of
Plainville, Kenneth Biondo and his wife Linda of Ocean City, NJ and Robert
Biondo and his wife Karen of New York City. She also is survived by five
grandchildren, Brian Brousseau, Jennifer Daily, Matthew Biondo, Lindsay Biondo
and Ross Brousseau, and two great-grandchildren, Sean Daily and Jack Brousseau.
Jean is survived by two sisters, Evelyn White of Farmington and Jo McCarthy of
Ft. Meyers, FL and a brother-in-law John Vernale of Farmington. She was predeceased by her sister Sally Vernale. Visitation will take place Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen
Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the
Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen, Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford,.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to the charity closest to Jean's heart, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
