Janet (Tordonato) McInerney, 87, of 53 Edgemere Ave., West Hartford, beloved wife of John McInerney, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Glastonbury, daughter of the late Antonio and Sarah (Grillo) Tordonato, she was a resident of West Hartford for the past 58 years. Janet was an active member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford and a member of its Rosary Society. She was an accomplished vocal soloist and loved spending time with her family, entertaining, traveling and playing bingo. Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children, Karen Andrews and her husband Chris of Bristol, Diane Zirolli and her husband John of South Windsor and John McInerney and his wife Sylvia of Glastonbury; six grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jackie, Shauna, Emily and Colin and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral procession will be Tuesday, (Sept. 9), 9:15 am at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Calling hours are Monday, (Sept. 8) from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy #100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
