Herb was a thoughtful man. It was about a year ago that I was very pregnant and sitting on my back deck enjoying the warm spring day with my husband when Herb came walking over to say hello. This was not something he did often. Usually he would give a friendly "Hello" from his yard and make light conversation about the weather. But this day was different. He came over with the intention to congratulate us on the up coming arrival. He said that he wanted to get something for the baby, but wasnt sure what to get so instead he gave a monetary gift and told us to make sure we get something for the baby that she would need. I told him that day the we would put it torwards our diper funds. He got a little chuckle out of that.
In closing, I just wanted to say that he was a kind man. He took much pride in the appearance of this yard, and could frequently be found outside mowing, raking, or gardening with Randy by his side. His yard made all the other lawns on the street look bad! =)
My he find eternal rest.
