Helen (Balboni) Mulrane, 95, of Southington, formerly of Newington, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Mulrane, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at The Summit of Plantsville. Born in West Hartford, she moved to Newington in 1955, where she resided for fifty years prior to moving to Southington in 2005.
Helen is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Carole Mulrane of Southington, Thomas J. and Pamela Mulrane of Sandy Hook, and Edward M. and Barbara Mulrane of Ormond Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Sharon Brayfield of OH, Kelley Peasley of Southington, Edward M. Mulrane, Jr. of Boston, MA, Mary Beth Grabowsky of Wayne, NJ, Erin Mulrane of Newtown, Kristin Hall of Norwalk, and two (soon to be four) great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, her son James, her sister Mary Garutti, and four brothers: Robert Balboni, Augustas Balboni, Joseph Balboni and Harry Balboni. Helen’s steady presence, bright smile and wonderful outlook on life will be deeply missed by her entire family. Funeral procession will be Wednesday, (Feb. 20), 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be Tuesday, (Feb. 19) from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
