Obituary for Gerhard Gaiser

Gerhard Gaiser
Gerhard Gaiser, 74, of Middletown, formerly of Portland, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Born in Maichingen, Germany, he came to this country in 1949 and lived most of his life in Portland. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown for many years. Gerhard was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his sister, Ursula G. Demko; his two nieces Dorothy Schlier and her husband Brian and Julie Demko; his two nephews and their wives, Edward and Donna Demko and Bernie and Stevanie Demko and many grandnephews and grandnieces. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 17, at 3:00 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be private. Calling hour will be prior the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
