Frances R. (Mierzwa) Formeister, 96, passed away on July 25, 2012, at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 29, 1915, Frances lived most of her life in West Hartford, and was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Formeister and a son Dr. Joseph Formeister. Affectionately known to her family as “Bea”, Frances was an avid reader and wonderful cook and baker. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Frances Boss of West Hartford, her son Ronald Formeister of New Britain, a loving granddaughter Susan Spargo and her husband Kevin and her beloved great-granddaughter Evangeline Frances Spargo. She also leaves her sister Helen Gallagher and her husband Leonard of Pleasant Valley, NY, a brother Henry Mierzwa and his wife Frances if Wappinger Falls, NY, a brother-in-law Edward Formeister and his wife Norma of Stafford Springs, a favorite niece Virginia Lennon and her husband Peter of Plainville, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. Her funeral is Friday 9 am from the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Brigid, West Hartford with burial following in Mt.
