Obituary for Fernando Bastos Dos Santos
Fernando Bastos Dos Santos, 54, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Maria Clara Santos, passed away on September 1, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Porto de Caros, Portugal; on June 27, 1961 son of Jose Augusto Encarnacao Santos and Isilda Dinis Bastos.
Fernando was employed by VMS Construction for over 20 years. He was a member of the Portuguese Club of Hartford and active member of our parish Our Lady Of Fatima Church in Hartford. Besides his wife and parents, Fernando is survived a daughter Anabela and son Alexandre Santos of West Hartford; a brother Jose Santos and his wife Maria of Portugal; a sister Vitalina Simoes and her husband Carmelindo of Newington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends of CT, NJ, RI, Portugal, Canada, France and Brazil. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Lia.
Funeral Processions will be on Saturday, September 5, at 9:15 am from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford; with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, from 5-8 pm. His final resting place will be in Portugal.
