Eugene Henri   Soucy
Eugene Henri Soucy of Farmington, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at the age of 89. Born in Canada, he moved to Connecticut in 1955 where he lived a long and happy life. He is predeceased by his wife, Diane Landry Soucy; sisters, Simone Heroux, and Annette Levesque; and brothers, Vital and Edwin Soucy. He is survived by his sister, Lucille Cloutier of Florida; daughter, Linda Horan and her husband Peter of West Hartford; daughter, Louise Soucy Rioual of Farmington; and three grandchildren, Dana Horan, Luc Rioual, and Brigit Rioual. He was an incredibly hard worker, loved spending his time on construction projects, cooking, inventing, watching hockey and golf, and working in the yard. For the past six years his most loved companion was his dog, Haley. The family would like to thank the fourth-floor staff at John Dempsey Hospital for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, 103 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
Funeral Service will be Monday, (Nov.9) at 10:30 am at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Entombment will take place at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
