Elsie (Cook) Mason, 99, of Rockledge, FL, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2015 in the loving arms of her daughter and son-in-law. Elsie was born in Hartford on September 5, 1915 and lived in the Parkville section of Hartford for 80 years. Elsie is survived by her daughter Sue (Bill) McClelland of Rockledge, FL; daughter-in-law Kathy Mason of Sturbridge, MA; grandchildren Rick (Grace) Mason of NY; Steven (Joni) Mason of ME; Greg Mason of OR; great grandchildren Mikayla and Liam Mason and Ethan Mason; nieces Marie, Linda, Roberta and their husbands. She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Lena Cook; husband Clifford Mason; beloved son William Mason; two sisters and three brothers. Elsie worked for the Royal Typewriter Co in Harford. Elsie adored her family and worshiped her daughter who she lived with all of her life. She was a devoted Catholic. Funeral procession will be Wednesday, (April 29) 10:15 am from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows in Hartford, Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Viewing will be on Tuesday, (April 28) between 4 - 8 pm. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
