Elaine Francis Lindsley (Zoppi) - August 29, 1939 - May 15, 2014

On Thursday, May 15, 2014, Elaine Francis Lindsley (Zoppi) was called home to God after passing away from a long-fought battle with heart disease. She was born on August 29, 1939, daughter of the late Rodney and Antoinette (Folden) Lindsley and resided in Berlin. Elaine was an award-winning cake decorator for over 30 years and started her career in New Britain. She then opened her own business in Farmington and was a teacher of cake decorating in West Hartford. She also worked at the Party Shop in Hartford for many years and was a vocalist with the Nancy Lynn Band. Elaine went on to work in research and development at the Carvel Corporation in Farmington, before retiring to private life. She is survived by her son David Zoppi of Manchester; her grandson Christopher Zoppi; family members Nancy Zoppi and James Zoppi and many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Isabelle Robinson who resided in Florida and a brother Rodney Lindsley. Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Wednesday, May 21, at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home at 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. Burial will be in West Lane Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 20, between the hours of 6-8PM at the funeral home.
