Obituary for Douglas A. Graves

Douglas A. Graves, 69 of Ashford, CT, formerly of Farmington and West Hartford, passed away August 17, at Hartford Hospital. He was the son of Dorothy Graves of West Hartford and the late Harold Graves. Doug served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and held a master’s degree from the University of Hartford. In addition to his mother, he is survived by son Todd, daughter-in law, Anne and grandsons, Leighton and Hendrik of San Carlos, CA; son Brian, daughter-in law, Jennifer and grandson, Connor of Cumberland, ME; brothers, Barry Graves of Ashford and Donald Graves of Estero, FL; sister, Mari Steeno of Sausalito,CA; and his former wife and mother of his sons, Jeanne Graves of West Hartford. Doug will be remembered as a dedicated father and proud grandfather. He was a friend to many and always willing to lend a helping hand.
