Obituary for Blanca A. De Ocejo

Blanca A. de Ocejo, 86, of Palm Coast, Fl, formerly of West Hartford and Madison, died on March 3, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Rodas, Cuba in 1927, she was an accounting professional and National Accounts Analyst for Aetna Life & Casualty, in Hartford, for most of her career. Blanca was foremost a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother “Tata” to her surviving husband Jose Luis de Ocejo, her son Luis, her daughter-in-law Anne, grandchildren Timothy, Corinne and Christian, and her favorite pet-Halle. She is also survived by many relatives and close friends in South Florida and Connecticut. She will be missed by all of us. The family is most grateful to her fantastic caregivers-Minerva Marrero, Sandra Moraes and the staff of the Windsor of Palm Coast and Odyssey Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America www.alzfdn.org. To celebrate Blanca’s life a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave., West Hartford on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford has care of the arrangements.
