Obituary for Barbara Mary Solosky (Murphy)

Barbara Mary Solosky (Murphy)
It is with much sadness that I announce that my dear mother, Barbara Mary (Murphy) Solosky, completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Edward V. "Buddy" Solosky. She was born in Hartford on January 2, 1932, daughter of the late Helen (Kusy) Perkoski and Lincoln Murphy and had lived in Newington, Wethersfield and the past 23 years in Glastonbury. Barbara was associated with Gengras Motors, Hartford , for many years, retiring in 1993. She leaves her devoted daughter and son-in-law Virginia and Michael Mikolowsky; two grandsons, Joshua Mikolowsky and his wife Debra Rogers Mikolowsky and Lukas Mikolowsky; three great granddaughters, Alexis, Ashelyn and Korinne; her sister, Virginia Koza and her husband, George; her brother, Stanley Perkoski and a nephew and godson Richard Koza and his wife Joanne. Barbara also leaves a special friend, James Keane. She was predeceased by her son Peter P. Solosky. I believe that my mother survived pancreatic cancer in 1998 so that she would see her grandsons grow to men and have time to spend with her cherished great granddaughters.
The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, (June 16), 10:30 a.m. at Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com
