Barbara  Parsons
Barbara Parsons, 93, beloved wife of the late Ralph Parsons, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away on January 28, 2016, surrounded by her family and dear friends. Her charm, intelligence and wit enriched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor and incredible ability to make and maintain lifelong connections with those she met and came to love in every facet of her life. Barbara’s work included being assistant to the president of the NBA in the 60’s and volunteering at the Kidney Foundation. Her travels took her to Europe, Africa, China, England, and throughout the United States. In each place, new stories of adventures with new friends became interwoven in the very rich fabric of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family – Vivie (Sue) Bishop of Arlington, MA; Linda Zidonik of Micanopy, FL; John Parsons and Elizabeth Wilson of Marblehead, MA; James Parsons and Mary Johnson of Dorset, VT; Katie and Forrest, Juniper and Raleigh Eddelton of Gainesville, FL; Anna and Josh, Adeline and Charlie Youman of West Roxbury, MA; Sarah Zidonik of Brooklyn, NY; Megan Parsons and Rachel Palleschi of Salem, MA; Samuel Parsons of Brooklyn, NY; Isabelle and Christopher Keller of Las Vegas, NV; Andrew Parsons, Portland, Me. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 6, at 11:00 am. at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home at 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
