Adolph Carl Kurth, of West Hartford, beloved and devoted husband for 56 years of Thelma (Pozzi) Kurth passed away peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2013 at John Dempsey Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Hartford on November 8, 1933, son of the late Philomena (LaMonica) and Adolph Kurth. Al was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marines having served in the Korean War. He worked at Chandler-Evans for over 30 years in management. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Mark Hobson of West Hartford, whom he loved dearly. Adolph was very close to and loved his special cousins, Genevieve and Osheen Soovajian, Ciro and Cathy Curti, and Robert Pozzi. He was predeceased by his brother Alfred Kurth and Stepfather Bruno Surowski, and his dear Aunt and Uncle Angelo and Betty Curti. Adolph was deeply loved by his late in-laws Marie and Joseph Pozzi.
The Family would like to thank his wonderful doctor Dr. Upenda Hegde and his wonderful staff of doctors and nurses for their care and compassion, also for the loving care they gave him on the sixth floor cancer unit. At Al’s wishes the Funeral and Burial will be private.
