Obituary for Adeline Godfrey (Rossi)

Adeline (Rossi) Godfrey, 92, of Farmington, formerly of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Byron Godfrey, died Thursday, January 1, 2015. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Liuzzi) Rossi, she lived many years in Hartford, moving to Farmington in 1980. Prior to her retirement in 1988, Adeline was employed at Heublein Corp. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jeff Haas of Old Saybrook and Dolores and Ted Slota of East Hartford; a brother Frank Rossi of Plainville; three grandsons, David and Bryan Slota and John Nolan and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a brother Pat Rossi and a son-in-law, John W. Nolan. Calling hours will be Thursday, (Jan. 8) from 5-8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. The funeral and burial will be private.
