Condolences

Condolence From: Deb Johnson
Condolence: I knew you in a different way; not teacher or scientist, but - the sister of Betty, who appreciated a good meal with friends and lively conversation including those concerning Beyy's dogs. You were the carrier of the good light of life. The world is brighter for having had you for 95 years, but our hearts are a bit dim due to our earthly loss. Safe travels, Claire.

Condolence From: Mary Ann Fitzgerald Lally
Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy to Betty and family on Sister Claire's passing to her Lord and Savior. She had a very special presence to each of us who knew her. Her smile, her openness, her intelligence and single-mindedness made her a model for me. I always felt respected in her presence and she did it just by being herself. I can picture her in her new heavenly home...at peace, filled with love and remembering those of us still to come. May His peace abide, Betty, and may her memory live on forever. Love, Mary Ann

Condolence From: Dr. Joan M. Kelly
Condolence: Heartfelt condolences to the family of Sister Claire Markham. Sister Claire Markham manifested the inspirational combination of brilliance and humility. Her professional accomplishments were notable yet she refrained from any display concerning her remarkable achievements in her chosen field. She was a loyal Religious Sister of Mercy and quietly exemplified the virtues of her Christian faith in her everyday life. Sister Claire Markham will always be one of the shining lights in the history of Saint Joseph College.
Sincerely,
Dr. Joan M. Kelly

Condolence: My heart is crying. A great woman, mentor, intellect, teacher, friend has left us. Sr Claire had such an effect on my early college life which continued on and on. She was the most positive person I knew. No one could be in her presence without being touched by her compassion, her understanding, her intelligence. The depth of her soul reflected in her eyes and no matter what you said Sr Claire connected. I will miss her dearly.
