Alderica (Nardini) Charest, 99, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Francis Mazziotto and Henri J. Charest entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Mapleview Manor in Rocky Hill. She was born in Newington on July 22, 1917, daughter of the late Dominico and Rose (Rapponotti) Nardini and has resided in West Hartford most of her life. Alderica was employed happily, for seven years at Lord & Taylor, Westfarms Mall, as Hostess of the restaurant, the best job of her working career. She was a communicant of St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford over 25 years; was a Life Member of the Ladies of LaSalette and a member of the St. Agnes Guild. Alderica is survived by two grandsons, Stephen Kradas and Edward Kradas and his wife, Tracee and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Alexandra, Samantha and Nicole. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, especially Jimmy Nardini, who was very close to her. Besides her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter Frances E. Kradas and her husband Joseph; a grandson, Joseph F. Kradas; two brothers, Raymond J. Nardini and Fred Nardini; four sisters, Irene Gionfriddo, Bella Cantelli, Amelia Casanelli and Mary J. Tryon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, (March 21), 11:00 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
