Eugene V. Carney, 77, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Ann (Gorski) Carney, died Sunday, April 3, 2016. Born in Ashland, Maine son of the late Henry and Lena (Theriault) Carney, he lived in West Hartford for many years. Eugene was employed at Colt Manufacturing as a leadman nickel plater supervisor for over 40 years, prior to his retirement. One of his greatest pleasures was to play his guitar and sing with his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Robert Carney; a daughter, Shelley Wisniewski-Carney; two grandchildren, Lucas and Lara; three great grandchildren, Antonio, Nicole, and Kaiden. He was predeceased by a sister Emily Carney. Eugene's Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, (April 11), at Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
