It still doesn't feel real that you're gone. I expect to see you, to touch you even just to smell your scent. I'm physically sick without you here. I need you with me yet I know that's not possible but I still can't accept it.
I thought that I'd be prepared for that moment when you took your last breath..who was I kidding! Who's ever ready to lose their Mom, their first friend & best friend in life? I know that I've thanked you a million times for being such an amazing Mom. I am who I am today because of your love & patience. You stood by my side & pushed me when I didn't believe in myself and you always did. When you left me that night Mom, a big part of me died with you. I'll continue to make you proud I promise.
