Obituary for William Francis Livingstone

William Francis Livingstone, born January 20, 1935 to the late Anna (Reynolds) and William Livingstone passed away on April 19, 2021.

Loving husband to Michelle Durkee Livingstone for 31 years. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so angels came down and wrapped their wings around him and gently put him in God's hand
s, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Bill was a great man, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Kind and caring giving himself to so many friends, family and to anyone he could lend a hand. Bill was a hard worker, dedicated, stubborn, steadfast to preserve in all he did. As a teenager, to retirement (in 2000) he dedicated himself to Har-Conn Chrome of West Hartford. A family owned precision plating aerospace company, working 48 years to become very respected in the industry. He was thrilled to experience the launching of the space shuttle mission at Cape Canaveral. Jack of all trades he had a craft of building stonewalls that remain standing all over the area. He also spent weekends antiquing and selling jewelry at flea markets. Bill's favorite pastime was offshore fishing, spending summers at Old Colony Beach in Old Lyme having many special fishing spots, also camping, fishing and boating on Gardner Lake in Salem CT. Loving the water and being around it, he learned how to scuba dive late in life. Diving into the waters of Hawaii, Cancun and Puerto Rico. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of many leagues, he had hoped to return to Lassard Lanes in Plainville. His wit and humor, one line zingers and all his kindness will be missed by many. His wishes would be: live life to the fullest, peace and goodwill to all. Till we meet again and go fishing.

He leaves behind his wife Michelle, their daughter Lisa and her fiancée Rob Doner of Manchester; his three sons William and wife Nancy of West Hartford, Michael of Bloomfield, Mark and wife Carrie of Holiday, FL; and grandson Dillon. Brothers, Michael and wife Pat of Harwington, Tom and wife Doris of East Hampton, sister MaryAnn Derohanian of East Hartford; special sister-in-law Barbara Sylvia of Southington, sister-in-law Jasmine and husband Glen of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother-in-law Henry of Watertown, numerous nephews nieces and cousins, extended family and friends, too many to count. Predeceased by his former wife Patricia Holt Livingstone, and their daughter Susan Livingstone, brother Peter, sister Barbara Ramsdell, brothers-in-law Tony Silva, Charlie Derohanian and his nephew Danny Derohanian.

I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Starling Physicians in Wethersfield for their care, kindness and support throughout the years. In lieu of flowers you may honor Bill by being kind or donating to one of his favorite charities: Oakhill School, Salvation Army, Hartford Citadel, Leukemia Society or Healthwell Foundation.
