Obituary for Violet J. Penta
Violet J. Penta of West Hartford, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2020 of natural causes. Born in New Britain, Violet was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elsie (Trotta) Penta. She lived in New Britain prior to moving to West Hartford.
Violet graduated from New Britain High School and worked for Southern New England Telephone Company 40 years, starting as a telephone operator and ending her career as a Customer Service Representative. She enjoyed traveling and visiting locations all over the world with her late sister, Lucy, and close friends. Violet spent many summers at White Sands Beach, Old Lyme at the family summer home. After her retirement, Violet enjoyed group functions and luncheons with her former co-workers.
Violet leaves a brother, Victor G. Penta of New Britain, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Vincent Cianfaglione; sisters, Rose Petrossi, Lucy Penta, Ruby Yannello and goddaughter, Janice Penta Walker.
Violet was a communicant of St. Mark the Evangelist Church in West Hartford.
