Obituary for Thomas Keegan

Thomas Keegan passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 19th after a brief illness. Born in Hartford on August 21, 1950, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Nancy (Tedesco) Keegan. Tom recently retired from the Connecticut State Employees Credit Union, where he was a loyal and dedicated employee for over 42 years. He was a military history enthusiast who enjoyed discussing old Hartford, and was knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects. Tom leaves behind his niece Melissa Gill, her husband Feidlim, and their daughters Lauren and Hayden; his close cousin, Lewis (Tony) Williams, his wife Virginia and their children Amy Rose and Michael Williams; and close cousin Lawrence Doane, and his children Lawrence Doane Jr., Christina Elmore, and Stephane Reidy. He also leaves his close friend Jerry Lutz. Tom was the brother of the late Lawrence Keegan Jr. of West Hartford and the late John Keegan of South Windsor. He was the beloved nephew of the late Philip Tedesco, Jenny Doane, Connie Ghidossi, and Jessie Williams. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Connecticut Humane Society in his memory would be appreciated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford at 11 a.m. on Thursday March 25th, preceded by calling hours at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford from 9:30-10:30 a.m. (masks and social distancing are required).
