Tammy Lynn Ferreira, 53, of West Hartford, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Foley) Ferreira, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Born in Hartford, Tammy was a lifelong resident of West Hartford. She attended St. Brigid School and was a Class of 1989 graduate of Conard High School. She was a communicant of St. Brigid Church and a member of the St. Brigid Ladies Guild.

Tammy was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) 25 years ago. Throughout everything, she had a positive attitude and would light up a room with her laughter and smile. Anyone that she has met, she touched their heart with her heart of gold.

Besides her parents, Tammy leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Jim Harrison of Colchester, CT; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Leslie Ferreira of Fort Meyers, FL; her nieces, Andrea Ferreira and Toni Laites; her aunt Helen Batayte; and her uncle, Anthony Ferreira.

The family would like to thank Tammy’s home aides: Ellie, Louise, and Eliza.

Calling hours will be Thursday, (February 29), from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, (March 1), at St. Brigid Church, 1083 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. Everyone is asked to meet directly at Church. Burial will be private.
