Sylvia Ann (Ramos) Digby, of Bloomfield, CT, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford surrounded by family on September 2, 2023 at the age of 75.  She was the loving daughter of Mary (Vincent) and Joao Noivo Ramos.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Michael Digby, and her brother John V. Ramos.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Kevin Digby and his wife Pam of West Hartford and their children Lucas and Maren; her sister, Joyce Lemega and her husband John of West Harford and their children Kate, her daughter Julia, and Greg and his wife Jen; and her five other grandchildren, Samantha Digby and her fiancé, Nicole Albertson, Ron Digby and his wife Melissa along with their children Emma and Jake, Jennifer Bonn and her husband, Michael and their children, Kyleigh and Kaleb, Thomas Digby and his son TJ and Nicole Dalton and her husband Daniel. 

Throughout the years, Sylvia spent her career as a marketing and communications professional working for a variety of companies including Ensign Bickford, OFS Corporation, Nufern, CT Joint Replacement Institute at St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis GI Endoscopy. 

When she wasn’t traveling to trade shows, you could find her at the football field cheering on Kevin and his teams. She enjoyed hosting holidays, spending time with her book club and most importantly, being with her grandchildren.  

The family would like to thank Judy Katzman and Linda Jakab and the many caretakers at the Cancer Center at St. Francis for the wonderful and compassionate care they extended Sylvia throughout her illness. 

In memory of Sylvia, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you take a moment to show your love and appreciation to those you care about. Never miss an opportunity to let those you hold close, know how important they are to you. 

Calling hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, (September 23) at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick/St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. A reception at the Church will follow the Mass. Burial will be private.
