Susan "Sue" J. Krzych, of Granby, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Born on August 24, 1957, Sue was raised in Windsor, before moving to Granby. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from University of Hartford, and her Master of Science in Special Education from Central Connecticut State University. Sue was a special education teacher and aide, spending the last 21 years of her career at Intensive Education Academy in West Hartford, where she was passionate about her students.

Sue was predeceased by her mother Mary K. "Jennie" Dobrzynski and her father Jan Krzych. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Mattera and son Tim Mattera; her sister, Nancy Krzych Peck and her husband Paul of East Hartford; her brother, Edward J. Dobrzynski of Windsor; and her nephews, Jonathan Peck, Steven Peck and David Peck and two granddaughters.

Family and friends may gather for a Graveside Service on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Poquonock. A celebration of life is planned for April 2023.
