Cousin Ruthie and her sister and brother have known me since I was a baby (picture is 1950 Christmas). We lost touch after her father, my uncle, Nello died. I regret that I wasn't afforded the opportunity to grow up with Ruthie and her siblings, but I am most grateful that we reconnected as adults. In her memory, I post this little story . . . Yesterday, my husband and I were in Walmart filling up a cart with "Things we can't live without" :) I walked ahead to find an empty checkout lane, turned and waved to my husband. A senior lady was between us, also looking for an open lane. I directed her to one and we took another open one. After we checked out, she thanked me again and I felt Ruthie saying, "That's what I'm talking about!" Love and miss you! Victoria (Rossini) Gindick

I regret that I was unable to attend Ruth's memorial services, but would offer my sympathy to Ruth's family. Ruth was one of the most kind, good natured and fun-loving persons as we all journeyed together at Whiting Lane, Plant Jr. HIgh School and Hall High School.

One of my earliest memories was during the middle school years when we held a surprise birthday party. We all waited quietly and eagerly for her to come down the stairs. When she was halfway down the stairs we all yelled SURPRISE!! - scaring her so much that she stumbled down the rest of the stairs. - fortunately without injury. Ruth was always a good friend who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace. Jim Malley

Dear Michelle and Bethany,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She was a very special lady and loved by everyone who knew her. My memories of Ruth go back a long way to when we used to spend summers on the beach in Old Lyme. A lot of good times were had there. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Love to you both,

Dear Michelle and Bethany,

My thoughts are with you as you walk through your grief. Your mother was so special -one of a kind!
She was truly a remarkable woman who had a profound impact on my life, her friendship was a precious gift.
While your hearts are aching hold onto the cherished memories of your mother and allow them to bring you comfort.
