Obituary for Robert Smith Slusarz

Robert Smith Slusarz, 64, of West Hartford, CT; beloved son of Frank Slusarz died peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on Friday, May 30, 2014. He was predeceased by his mother Mary and brother John.
He leaves his Aunt Marion Savage of Farmington, CT; cousins Martin E. Savage of West Hartford, CT, and James Carto of Bethlehem, GA. He also leaves many caring relatives and friends.
Rob will always be remembered for his passionate love of music and the guitar. This year marks the 50th anniversary of his high school band "The Wanderers" in which he played lead guitar. Rob was also an accomplished designer and draftsman who contributed to the success of many of Connecticut's largest manufacturers including Hamilton Standard, Pratt & Whitney, and Combustion Engineering.
Among his many other passions were boating, golf, skiing, bicycling and his beloved tuxedo cats Boogs and Rosie.
Rob was a devoted caregiver to his parents for many years and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
A graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, CT at 10a.m. on Saturday, June 7th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may in Rob's name to a charity of your choice.
